Trinidad and Tobago - History and Heritage | Travel | SmithsonianThis is an excellent Trinidad Tobago birds book for birdwatching in the Caribbean. Each species is illustrated by a colour photograph. All colour photographs have been provided by leading wildlife photographer Roger Neckles who is also a keen birdwatcher. Advice is given as to how to watch birds, what equipment you will need, how to photograph them, and their conservation. There is also information about flocking, diet, breeding, sleep and feathers. Maps and advice on where you can see birds in Trinidad and Tobago is divided into eight groups in all: gardens and parks, open country and scrubland; cultivated land with large trees; the rainforest; swamps, marshes and reservoirs; along the coastline; in the air, and at night.
Tobago (travel-documentary from the season "Caribbean Moments")
History People Trinidad Tobago
I promptly corrected them: To-bay-go. They knew of the country, although sometimes not its location, and I explained that we were a twin-island nation in the Caribbean, seven miles off the coast of Venezuela. After graduating, when I went backpacking around Europe, I found that few people had heard of Trinidad at all: I took to pulling out a little fold-out map and pointing to the little dot by way of explanation. They knew about the beaches, the endless sunshine. But later their faces would cloud over — what on earth had possessed me to leave such a wonderful place?
